Most iconic song of Babymetal

Here are the most iconic song of Babymetal

  • Megitsune (2013) – a mix of J-pop, metal and traditional Japanese sounds.
  • Gimme Chocolate!! (2014) – a viral breakout hit
  • Road of Resistance (2015) – featuring DragonForce members
  • Karate (2016) – an inspiring, energetic tune.

Babymetal has 3 members Moa Kikuchi as “Moametal”, is the dancer, backing vocals and Scream Queen, Momoko Okazaki as “Momometal, the dancer and screamer vocal, and Suzuka Nakamoto as “Su-metal” is the lead vocalist and dancer. Yui Mizuno as “Yuimetal”. is a former member that also performed scream vocals and dancer.

Koba formed BABYMETAL based on Su-metal unique voice. Moa and Momo were added as scream and dancers. They were selected for their appearance, height and professionalism, not their singing talent. Both of them are a good singer. Since they invited their own genre, they can do whatever they want and Koba (the creator of the group) wants it this way.

A lot of J-pop groups have one lead singer, It might be confusing J-pop with Idol groups, which tend to have more than one but Babymetal is not an idol group. Most metal groups have only one lead singer. Moa and Momo they are harmonizing vocals and back up vocal but not a back up dancer.

In Nagoya show moametal interviewed “does you desire to sing increase each day?”
Moametal answed : I do enjoy singing. But when it comes to BABYMETAL, I don’t think that’s my role, so I have no particular desire to sing here. Instead of singing myself, I love listening to SU-METAL’s singing, more than anything else. I think that Su-metal is the only one who can lead BABYMETAL with her voice. (translated by Funnytoss+co).

The group constantly includes dance choreography that moves Moa and Momo to the front from with Su singing form behind. After that Su will take in front while Moa and Momo are dancing in the back. they will alternate position each members take the font like a triangle.

Another things that makes them unique is their chemistry and the way they perform on stage.

The Controversy

YUIMETAL missed Legend S in December 2017 due to health reasons. After the release of their new single, Starlight, earlier the band’s management that she was still a member of the band. In 2018 They announced on the official website of Babymetal that it has been officially confirmed that YUIMETAl is leaving Babymetal after being in the group for eight years. Yuimetal decided that she would not be performing at the 2018 Babymetal World Tour in Japan.

The announcement was the decision by YUI herself as a result of her poor health, but also she wanted to pursue her dream of becoming a singer under the name Mizuno Yui, rather than “YUIMETAL”.

Many fans were sad about the announcement we hope Yuimetal will achieve her dream and take care of herself.
